Yongsu Choung, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is an architect and based in New York, USA and Seoul, South Korea.
He has worked at award winning firms including SOM in New York, WORKac in New York, Mass Studies in Seoul and Pencil Office in Singapore.
Yongsu has won numerous awards including Honorable Mention (1st stage winner) at the New National Gallery and Ludwig Museum Competition in Budapest, Hungary endorsed by the International Union of Architects (UIA) in 2014 and another Honorable Mention at the 2015 eVolo Skyscraper Competition. He also was awarded with Golden Award (2nd prize) at Korean Hanok Competition organized by The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2011.
He has exhibited work at the Center for Architecture and Design in Philadelphia, Seoul Museum of History in Seoul, South Korea, and Asia Culture Center in Gwangju, South Korea.
Yongsu Choung is a registered architect in New York, USA, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and LEED accredited Building Design and Construction professional. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Seoul where he was awarded the Excellent Thesis Prize. He also studied at National University of Singapore as part of an exchange program.
